A 40-Year Vision to Complete the Market Historic District

Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market operates as one of the oldest public markets in the U.S. (1907) and makes up a vibrant neighborhood in the heart of downtown Seattle. As one of the city’s premier travel destinations, the Market receives more than 10 million local, regional, national and international visitors each year. Filled with hundreds of vendors, residents and businesses, the Market also includes farmers, craftspeople, independent shops and buskers. The MarketFront will complete the historic district after more than 40 years of study and planning.
